The Cotton Exchange proudly announces their Second Saturday Courtyard Concert series starting on May 10th with David Keys. “David Key, a resident of Hampstead, is a Sound Artist, creating original works in the medium of sound. David is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, performing on a variety of wooden flutes, frame drum, and soprano saxophone. He is a composer, performer, and sound healer. A classically trained saxophonist with a Master’s degree in music, David has been creative as a teacher of music, nurturing young musicians from kindergarten through college. He presently teaches at Cape Fear Community College and at Sea Sharp Music Academy.” COME ENJOY THE MUSIC IN THE COURTYARD ON MAY 10TH AT 1PM-3PM. Upcoming months feature, Seapans, L Shape Lot Acoustic Duo, and Julia Walker Jewell all local artists. Ability Garden Plant Sale Houseplants, annuals, perennials, and herbs will be for sale on Friday, May 30th, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm in the Cotton Exchange courtyard. All plants are grown by participants in horticultural therapy classes and all proceeds support free programming at the Cooperative Extension’s Ability Garden.
