Merchant's Corner
Two sisters has new owners…..Brooks Preik and her daughter Angela Carr.
You may recall that Brooks wrote the book “Haunted Wilmington”.
Brooks and Angela plan to go “green” with their new store, and increase
the selection of children’s books. Most things will remain the same,
as the bookstore has been a cornerstone of The Cotton Exchange for many many years.
Please stop in to welcome them to The Cotton Exchange and downtown Wilmington!
Come and enjoy the amazing talent of 20 local artisans creating beautiful works to enhance any home, or to serve as unique gifts. We offer fiber arts, woodworking, silver jewelry, knitwear, weavings, handbags, pine needle basket, gourds, mixed media sculpture, and of course pottery. Featured artist of the month is Pat Holleman, a long time, talented potter whose specialty is functional ware with exciting glaze interactions, often with an oriental influence.
NANA JOINS THE TEAM
You My Sunshine is a family-operated business, proud to welcome our NANA as part of our team. NANA has inspired us to create, learn, and grow! Her seamstress talents are allowing us to offer custom nursery decor, custom diaper bags and custom clothing, including christenening gowns and flower girl dresses. Come to the boutique to greet our NANA, especially when you feel the need for some nurturing!

Escape from the heat in the Golden Gallery surrounded by polite beach scenes that are healing to your soul. The memories we preserve strike chords with those who have long lived here as well as those who can only be here for a short time. Our current exhibit, A Riot of Bloom, features floral photography by John W. Golden and watercolors of lilies, geraniums, and magnolias by Mary Ellen Golden.

Join us for the Fourth Friday gallery walk from 6pm until 9pm on July 25th. We will have a jewelry making demonstration by Melissa Manley, strudel from The German Cafe and music by John Golden and friends.
